Descripción

The FDN16-IR is a medium to large oval shaped dome closure with a high number of small cable entries (ports) for use in underground, direct burial or aerial installations, available with Integrated Routing (IR) or tubing fibre management systems.
The base configuration of this FDN has 11 round cable entries (ports) and one ovel port for loop through applications. The oval port can also be used as a round port offering 2 additional ports.
The closure cover, which can be fitted with a pressure valve, is available in 4 different lengths depending on the maximum number of trays required. It is environmentally sealed to the base using an ‘O’ ring and quick release clamp. The cables are sealed using a mechanical seal (CableLokTM) or heathshrink sleeves.
The mounting backplane can accommodate up to 36 IR SE trays or 72 IR SC trays or a combination of SE and SC trays. Its position allows easy access to the trays. The basket provides space for the storage of fibre loops. The trays and fibre optic routing module are white which makes it easy to see the colour of the fibre elements as they are routed.
The foam pad on the retainer is partially cut trough to accommodate a range of fibre counts.
All IR system cover plates are coloured blue identifying them as removable parts allowing access to the fibre. The fibre slot retaining block and tray retaining clips are coloured red.

The high number of drop ports means that this closure is particularly suited for use in FTTH access networks.
The oval shape ensures that the FDN can be used where space is limited.

Datwyler provide the closures ready to use, with fibre management and splice trays in standard configurations.
If a standard configuration is not suitable, the closures can be supplied without splice trays which can then be ordered separately.
Cable entry seals (Cablelok and heatshrink) and accessories such as mounting brackets must be ordered separately.
