Impact on the use of cables in buildings
Decision makers and planners find themselves in a quandary: although the new European Construction Products Regulation (CPR), which would enable them to assess the fire behaviour of power, control and communication cables, came into force on 1st July 2013, its implementation has been delayed. This means that manufacturers still cannot make any authoritative statements on the classification of their cables.
